i love this movie(:

1) girl overcomes family objection to play great soccer! (: i don't know about you all, but my family was initially, well shocked would be a good word, that i made it to the team. "what? you want to be a boy and play soccer now?!" -chuckles-

In his welcome address, the FIFA President stressed that "football is a game for all. Every girl and every woman has the right to play. Women's football does not have to be a replica of the men's game. It has to be the same game, but played by women with their specific qualities, including elegance."

anyway "training today was fun" (as commanded by nat). haha, but yeah it was. and we (me, nat, huiqing & phoebe) went for dinner after that and got free drumlets and a free pizza so... ha, your loss if you didn't come :D

anyway nat designed this great layout and we think it would look good on a shirt (i'd rather have this for a bayley-waddle shirt than that hideous pineapple and dubious quote by 'sponge'). so what do you guys think... shirt or no shirt?

I'm sorry for the poor communication system, guess MSN groups/blogs aint working and I'll have to sms/call personally as it's the most effective way. I've been busy with O-team preperations and all the planning for 2006 events (for council) but still... soccer still means as much to me as ever. I really hope you guys are continuning with your PT. Next year is important, please remember that.

How about Tuesday evening for a game, and I'll treat Pizza after that. Do try to show some response on the blog, but I'll call this time round. I'll be in Australia fro 8-20 December and I would really like to work something out before then.

On a side note... George Best is dying. Not that I care match, though he used to be an excellent player, I can't feel for anyone who wastes their career in such a fashion (same for Maradona) pleh.

... because she allowed me to edit off the fine print on the layout (if you didn't get to see it, the previous layout contained words like "argentina rox! support man utd!"... all hideous untruths).

Yeah anyway we shall gloss over the fact that Real lost to Barca over the weekend (Raul picked up an injury that will keep him out til January :(((((((), and instead focus on the great news that Raul's wife gave birth to twins last week, so he now has 4 sons with similarly good genes... 7 more kids to form a football team :D

The cool cool Jalan Besar Stadium

When I went to collect your tickets for the Singapore Cup final the other day I went to Jalan Besar to collect them. This is by far the best local stadium I've been to.

Jalan Besar Stadium! I don't know the guy there, just some random passerby ruining my shot.

I was ogling at the pitch from the glass doors, when the man who was working there opened the door and asked if we would like to see the pitch. Wow it was so cool!

Look at the grass! It's STRIPED! and UNTOUCHED and THE GRASS. THE GRASS. THE GRASS! Ok lah, but its fake grass.

Then I asked the man if I could touch the grass, and he was ok with it as long as we didn't ruin it.

Then proceeded to check out the benches and sit around in them for a while. Was quite fun.

And there's this yellow line over there, which I found very amusing. The shots not good, but what it really says is:
BEWARE OF LIONS. KEEP BEHEIND YELLOW LINE.

This is the view of the seats. AND ALL THE SEATS ARE LIKE REAL SEATS WOOT (not like usual grandstands at non vip areas). SO COOL

And this is on whats on the floor behind the seats :)!

Then saw this sign left around somewhere.

With that, decided to explore the inside of the building. They had models of the tiger cup shirt

Then we decided to sneak to the back and got a glimpse of the changing rooms which were really nothing much. This is the ref's changing room. The hallway to the changing rooms are really very dark when the light's are unlit though.
